Welcome back to Multicore. This is Instruction Set for the week of Monday, July 29th.
Apologies for my absence during what turned out to be a truly chaotic past week. I flew back from Beijing and landed in Osaka to head straight to a trade show in Kyoto. I ended up getting stranded in western Japan for an extra day due to an unprecedented bullet train breakdown. I made it back to Tokyo just in time to watch legendary J-pop star Utada Hikaru in Saitama. Then I immediately had to start preparing to go to the UK, where I’m writing this from right now.
Continuing the theme of excessive travel, the reason I’m here is because on Wednesday I’m going to hop on a ferry to France for the Olympics. That means Instruction Set will be off next week as well, though I have some stories from China and Kyoto that I’ll try to get out as soon as possible.
