Welcome back to Multicore. This is Instruction Set for the week of Monday, April 22nd.
If you’re reading this on the web, you’ll see that things look quite different around here. Substack doesn’t allow for a ton of customisation, but I’ve done about as much as possible to overhaul the look and feel of the site under the guidance of my friend and former colleague James Bareham.
James was a creative director at The Verge and Vox Media for many years and recently launched his own creative consultancy, Happicamp. I love what he came up with for the new Multicore logo and wordmark.
This redesign has been in the works for a while and I’m excited to put it out here today; stay tuned for some imminent programming updates. For now, let’s catch up on the week that was.
Massive news from Meta just as I was in the final stages of putting this Instruction Set together. The Quest operating system and platform, now referred to as Meta Horizon OS, has been opened up to third-party hardware makers.
